The Norquay Glow Bonspiel was held on March 28 to 31 at the Norquay Curling Rink.
A total of 27 teams from Norquay and surrounding communities participated in the bonspiel.
“It was a great way to wrap up the curling season where everyone can just enjoy the game and have fun, said Rubieann Kluke, an organizer. “We try to encourage youth to participate by offering a ‘no fee’ for 18 and under, therefore we had a total of 23 children curling in this event.”
The first event was won by the Rick Kinaschuk (skip) rink of Benito, defeating the Maureen Werner rink of Springside.
Taking third place in the first event was the Reece Dahlin team of Norquay, and fourth was Caylee Hiebert of Springside.
In the second event, the Ken Newell Rink of Norquay defeated the Mark Maga Rink of Whitebeech to take the top spot. Third and fourth, respectively were Evan Rostotski of Norquay, and Lorne Mydynski of Arran.
