The last game of the season for the Town of Kamsack soccer program was on June 19 at the Victoria School soccer field.

After the conclusion of the game, each player was presented with a medal and was treated to cookies and juice.

The eight-week program is for four to nine year-olds and has a 20-player maximum.

“The soccer games were well-attended this year,” said Kev Sumner, recreation director for the Town, who coaches the seven to nine-year old players, while his wife, Louise, coaches the four to six-year olds.

“We had the maximum number enrolled in the program, and received positive feedback from parents and players,” he said.

“It’s been eight weeks of fun, and we are looking forward to running the program again next year.”
