RCMP believe a “medical episode” caused a motor-vehicle to strike pedestrian

An unidentified 76-year old male was presumed to have experienced a “medical episode” while driving West on Queen Elizabeth Boulevard in Kamsack around 10:30 a.m. on April 24.

An unidentified 76-year old male was presumed to have experienced a “medical episode” while driving West on Queen Elizabeth Boulevard in Kamsack around 10:30 a.m. on April 24.

The vehicle operated by the male driver struck a parked SUV in front of the Town of Kamsack office. The SUV then struck an unidentified female pedestrian in the intersection. The female was transported to hospital with what was believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Rob King with RCMP media relations confirmed that the male driver has passed away. An autopsy will be performed.
