All the students and several members of the staff entertained on stage during the Victoria School Christmas Concert on December 17.

Justus Waugh and Adaeze Ogali were the emcees for the afternoon performance, while Levi Erhardt and Teanna Raffard took on the emcee’s duties for the evening performance which was the same as the afternoon show except that the pre-Kindergarten students did not perform.

After O Canada, which was played by Kathleen Raabel, the program began with the grades 1A and B students performing and singing Two Front Teeth and the Freeze Dance.

The Grade 3A students, all equipped with sunglasses and soft, fuzzy antlers, sang Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and then the Grade 4A students sang Winter Wonderland.

The large class of pre-Kindergarten students “stole the show” as they performed the action songs Jingle Bell Opposites and Reindeer Pokey.

The grades 2A, B and C students presented a musical skit entitled Gingerbread Christmas.

The Kindergarten students, all wearing green-and-red elf caps performed I Made a Snowball and I Want to Be an Elf.

The Grade 4B class sang In Summer and then the Grade 3B class sang Reindeer Rap and Up on the Housetop.

After a short intermission when draws were made for the door prizes, several members of the staff went on stage equipped with Styrofoam batons and using them to hit their bodies, they performed a percussion version of Little Drummer Boy.

The concert concluded with a PowerPoint presentation of photographs taken at the school since it opened in September.
