Throwback Thursday

As part of her job in 1987, Nellie Straightnose tended to the Kamsack Art Gallery. She was photographed in front of one of the pieces painted by Yorkton artist, Brenda Roberts.

The Kamsack Players performed a three-act play entitled The Groom Said No at the Kamsack Junior High School auditorium. Cindy Erhardt of Kamsack was one of the 350 people attending an awards banquet in 1987 that was sponsored by the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation. She was photographed about to taste a sample of alligator meat served as a chilled cocktail.

Dr. Michele Moss and Dr. Allan Donsky were a husband and wife team who took over the medical practice in Kamsack for Dr. Geoffrey Drew in 1987. Both received medical training in the Union of South Africa.

Trixy Sasyniuk and Wendy Stone won the silver medal in the pre-novice dance category during the inter-club competition at Yorkton in 1987.

Janine Scott and Conrad Swetlikoff inspected the blade after using the coin-operated sharpening device installed at the Kamplex in 1986.

Among the Snofest ’87 participants to bowl during the week of activities was Launey Panchuk of Kamsack.
