Established in 1873, the Governor General’s Medal recognizes students who have achieved the highest academic average in their schools. On behalf of Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, the academic medal was presented last week to Julianna Raabel who had the highest academic average in Grade 12 during the 2018-19 academic year at the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute. With Raabel, centre, were Ryan Gareau, vice-principal and Tracy Forsythe, principal.
