The Sadok Ukrainian Dancers at Kamsack will be showing the community what they’ve learned during the past season tonight at the Kamsack Playhouse.

Eric Sliva of Yorkton is the instructor of the dancers who are divided into four groups, said Chantel Kitchen, a member of the Sadok club’s executive committee.

In the Rozmai group are Seth Symak, Rhys Lawless and Taylor Thurlow.

The Kolos group includes Kacee Kitchen, Trista Palagian, Kira Salahub, Ava Tomkulak, Finley Hudye and Meesha Romaniuk.

The Sonsche group is comprised of Haven Krawetz, Bobby Taylor, Brooke Taylor and Melody Lin, while in the Boyan group are Joshua Hilton, Lee Tomkulak and Makayla Romaniuk.

The Rozmai group, which is the youngest group in the club, works on one dance, the Poltava, while all other groups perform the Poltava and a second dance, Kitchen explained. Several dancers are also dancing solos this year.

The Kolos, Sonsche and Boyan groups all competed in Regina on March 18 and19, she said. The group decided to do this competition this year as an early competition to get feedback from adjudicators early in the season in order to make improvements before the final competition of the year which will be held in Yorkton May 4 to May 7.

The Rozmai group will also compete at Yorkton.
