The Norquay Co-op participated in Fuel Good Day on September 17, and the Norquay School Playground Project was the beneficiary.

On Fuel Good day, 10 cents per litre of every fill at the Norquay pumps or cardlock was to be donated to the playground project. Also $1 from every coffee or slush (any size) was to be donated.

Additionally, a supper and fun evening was sponsored by the Co-op and held on that day at the Norquay School, with all proceeds to be given to the playground project. Hotdogs, freezies and refreshments were available and for entertainment there was bouncy castles, face painting, quad train rides and a playground to keep the youngsters entertained.

Recently, Justin Petelski, manager of the Norquay Co-op, made the donation of a cheque in the amount of $3,113 to the Norquay School Playground Project, with Norquay School accepting the donation.
