Having sold more than $12,000 worth of magazine subscriptions, students of the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute were treated to a goopy good time last week.

At a school assembly on November 23, the students who sold the most subscriptions were introduced and applauded.

During the assembly, magazine sellers had the opportunity of dumping specially-formulated blue and pink goop, created from oatmeal, spaghetti and dish soap, onto the heads of staff members and fellow students.

The total amount of subscription sales was $12,064, and the top sellers were: Leah Schwartz, 34 subscriptions; Shaelyn Matwijeczko, 19, and Levi Erhardt and Sienna Koroluk, 15 each.

The name of each student who sold a magazine subscription was placed in a draw for two 32-inch television sets and the winners were: Boston Guillet for the sellers in grades 5 to 8, and Shaelyn David, for sellers in grades 9 to 12. Each student had sold six subscriptions.
