Kamsack man charged in relation to armed robbery

Donovan Straightnose, 22, of Kamsack has been charged with possession of a weapon while prohibited, contrary to section 117.01(3) of the Criminal Code, and robbery with a firearm, contrary to Section 344 of theCriminal Code, according to a release issued by the Yorkton RCMP at 11 a.m. on July 7.

He was remanded into custody until his first appearance in court which was to have been on July 10.

Last week, RCMP issued a release stating that Straightnose and Wyatt Britton, 25, of Brandon, Man., were wanted in relation to an armed robbery that occurred on June 28.

On July 7, Yorkton RCMP were still requesting the public’s assistance in locating Britton. He has brown eyes, brown hair, goatee-style facial hair, and facial tattoos. He is 5 feet, nine inches in height and weighs approximately 180 pounds. Identifying tattoos include the word “Nevaeh” on the right side of his neck, as well as a dollar sign on his left thumb, a star on his left hand, and an eye on his left hand.

Persons with any information on the whereabouts of Britton, are asked to call 310-RCMP or a local police detachment for immediate response, or one can make a report anonymously through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
