Dangerous driving complaints result in arrest near Yorkton

On October 16 at 5:30 p.m. the Yorkton RCMP received multiple complaints from the public regarding a dangerous driver on Highway No. 9 north of Yorkton, according to a release.

On October 16 at 5:30 p.m. the Yorkton RCMP received multiple complaints from the public regarding a dangerous driver on Highway No. 9 north of Yorkton, according to a release. 

RCMP officers located the suspect vehicle and after several attempts, stopped the vehicle from moving further and took the driver into custody.     

An 18-year-old female was taken into custody without incident. She was to attend Yorkton Provincial Court on October 17 to speak to multiple charges including impaired operation of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, fail to stop for a peace officer, operate a motor vehicle while prohibited, mischief under $5000, utter threats, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 and three counts of fail to comply with a judge's undertaking.

No injury was reported to the public or any involved parties due to the involved officer's quick response and the public's assistance.
