Annual Christmas in November trade show of crafts and home-based businesses attracts at least 26 ven

As of last week 26 vendors had rented a total of 29 tables for Kamsack’s annual Christmas in November trade show of crafts and home-based businesses.

            Organizers have said that this show is an ideal place for residents to begin, if not conclude, their Christmas shopping.

            Being held at the OCC Hall on Sunday, the event, which is a fundraiser for the Kamsack Playhouse, will begin at noon and will continue to 5 p.m.

In addition to the trade show, a kitchen, operated by Playhouse volunteers will be selling three varieties of homemade soups, sandwiches and desserts along with tea, coffee and juice.

This year’s Christmas in November has already attracted more vendors than had participated last year, said Jack Koreluik, one of the volunteers.

Among the persons displaying crafts will be: Cliff Straub, woodwork; Cyndi Hoffert, paintings, sketches, digital art and crochet work; Joanne Craig, family birthstone jewelry; Joanne Bandura, cement pots; Kendall Chutskoff, etched jewelry; Evelyn Larson, quilts, table runners and jewelry; Annalee Parnetta, a “costume lady” with quilts and reading tents; Erin Schullman, naturally infused homemade lotion and skin care, and Lynette Leis, wreathes, scarves and wall hangings.

The home-based businesses participating include: Amanda Hunter, Scentsy and Epicure products as well as Hunter Creative Designs; Wendy Betcher, Park Lane Jewelry; Debbie Reich, Thirty-one Gifts; Laura Dahl, Uff Da soaps and lotions; Kathy Handzuik, Mary Kay products; Linda Brewer, Off the Hook hats; Allison Stefiuk, Arbonne skin care and make-up products; Catherine Maksyme5tz, Norwax and Wow essential oils; Lyle Mucha, Watkins products; Sandy Bedore, Discovery educational toys, and Nancy Weinhandl, note cards and Kris Flowers.

Selling food products will be April Schotts with So Sweet Creations and Diane Muteush, baking.

Book vendors include Michael Pitt with outdoor adventure books and Lloyd and Rose Virag selling Reflections of Ukraine and Ukrainian Churches of Saskatchewan and representatives of the Kamsack Library will be tending a booth.

Other organizers include Brenda Wyllychuk, president of the Kamsack Playhouse committee and Crystal Fissell, treasurer.
