About 150 people attend Halloween cabaret in support of Kamsack Minor Hockey

Kamsack Minor Hockey's first Halloween cabaret, held October 29 was “a great night with an attendance of 150 people, according to information received from the organizers.

Kamsack Minor Hockey's first Halloween cabaret, held October 29 was “a great night with an attendance of 150 people, according to information received from the organizers.

The minor hockey executive committee “was very excited to see so much support for our hockey players,” the information said. “We had a lot of positive comments through the night of how things ran, the decorations and how much fun people had.

“People were asking for us to do it again next year,” it said. The executive committee has decided that the dance was a success and we will hold another dance next Halloween.

Providing cash donations that went towards the costume prizes and to help cover expenses were: Nykolaishen Farm Equipment, Ritchie Industries/Petro-Can, OK Tire, Co-op, Affinity Credit Union, Hawryluk Agencies, Blaine's Autobody, KamCrete, P & J Plumbing & Heating, Norquay Pharmacy and In Good Taste.

Sponsors that donated items for raffle prizes that are to be won during the Minor Hockey Day being held on November 19 include: Sas-Kam Sportsman, Farmers Edge, Rexall, TD Bank, Home Hardware, McMunn & Yates, Fields, Town of Kamsack, Duck Mountain Ambulance, Cottenie and Gardner Inc., Flower Mill and Phoebe's Hair Salon.

 There were five different categories for costumes with $450 in total cash prizes.
