On April 27, Clara Barabash celebrated her 102nd birthday with the help of staff at the Kamsack and District Nursing Home. Kamsack Volunteer Fire Department truck and mascot drove past with lights and sirens, stopping to acknowledge this event of our eldest resident, said Karen Rubletz, recreation co-ordinator. Annette Diduch of Kamsack, Barabash’s daughter, stood on the grass adjacent to patio, and, along with staff members, sang Happy Birthday. “Clara was so happy to see a family member after not able to visit for weeks,” said Rubletz, adding, “Clara and family, along with staff, wish to thank the Fire Department for helping with the birthday celebration.”
