KCI Junior Drama Club presents “mixed up fairytale”

A drama production by the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute Junior Drama Club was staged on June 6 and 8 at the KCI.

Billed as “a laugh-out-loud mixed up fairytale for all ages,” the production was narrated by three “humans” played by Teanna Raffard (Carla), Zach Burback (Zach) and Shilo Eluik-Blackwood (Chris).

The following cast of characters were: Megan Raffard, Little Red Robin Hood; Tara Taylor, Simple Simon; Kira Kitsch, Humpty Dumpty; Seraphim Strauss, Rose Red; Geri Basaraba, Black Sheep; Makayla Romaniuk, Emporer; Hermione Schneider, Two of Spades; Rhianna Bresky, Four of Diamonds; Jordyn Thomas, Big Bad Wolf; Eric Moriarty, Moe; Josh Hilton, Squealer; Brady Hilton. Curly; Leah Schwartz, Prunella; Petrie Whitehawk, Bertha; Kate Erhardt, Pied Piper; Ebony Whitehawk, Mary Lamb; Hermione Schneider, Mary Contrary; Michaela Schneider, Granny; Gabby Schneider, Mother Hubbard; Boston Guillet, Old Woman, and Cynthia Shingoose, Mother Goose.

Behind the scenes technical team were: Barbara Tanner, costume designer; Sherry Tourand, costume assistant; Aura Whithawk and Scarlette Quewezance, make-up; Joanne Schwartz with help from Anastasia Schwartz, Chloe Koroluk, Gage Berezowski, Zac Chernoff, Will Zarchikoff, Rylee Zbeetnoff, Ryan Bear, and Boyce Rogers, sets and props; Bethany Brade, director and sound design; Karen Luu, sound technician and Chrlotte Henderson, light technician.

Special mention was made to Darren Kitsch and his student helpers for organizing and setting up the sound equipment.
