Fourteen teams are participating in the Kamsack Curling Club’s 2016-17 season.

The teams, which number from four to six players who are between 12 and about 80 years of age, curl regularly on Thursdays at the Broda Sportsplex during draws at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

“Some groups dropped out, and others joined,” said Kevin Chutskoff.

The group, which began the first week in December, will continue to the last week in March when the wind-up bonspiel will be held.

Ed Guenther helped with the scheduling and Deanna Bodnarek and Jennifer Koroluk are looking after the bar, said Chutskoff, who after 13 years serving as president of the organization, has stepped off the executive committee.

At a general meeting at the beginning of the season, Colleen Planedin was named president to succeed Chutskoff.  Andy Kazakoff is vice-president; Kim Chutskoff, secretary, and Monica Morgan, treasurer.
