The Norquay Kindergarten class had a graduation event on June 24, when students’ families were invited to the school library where the class had a presentation, students were awarded their certificates and photos of the students were taken. The afternoon concluded with the serving of a graduation cake and refreshments. Norquay School’s Kindergarten class, chauffeured and chaperoned by many parents, headed out for a fun-filled day at Good Spirit Provincial Park on June 22.
They started their day with a pond dip, which allowed the students to catch frogs, snails, crickets, water beetles and whatever else their nets picked up.
After a hotdog lunch, the class, accompanied by the park’s staff, headed out for a nature walk where they saw and learned about different animal tracks.
