Annette Purchase, right, of Kamsack, has begun filming one-hour interviews with Kamsack district residents with the objective of creating episodes of Good Vibes Live, a series of shows that will be carried on Access TV beginning this summer. Her first interview was with Carol Mariott, left, of Raven Horse Wisdom Life Coaching.

A Kamsack woman has begun filming interviews with residents which by this summer will be shown in a weekly cable television series entitled Good Vibes Live.

Annette Purchase said the intent of the series of one-hour shows is to bring “good vibrations” to the community.

“Basically, the show will focus on people in the community who make a difference but often go unnoticed,” she said last week, explaining that the series will be carried on the Access TV cable service, which is seen on Channel 7 or 207 in Kamsack.

Purchase explained that the interviews she is conducting are held in her dining room, giving them a more relaxed atmosphere for the guests, and then some interviews will be on location for added scenes.

She recently filmed an interview with Carol Marriot, who conducts Raven Horse Wisdom Life Coaching at Ravenheart Farms, and said that when the weather warms she plans to film additional scenes with the horses at the farm.

Purchase will be producing, directing and editing the shows, having worked with Cole Smith, a producer with Access TV.

“For the past five years I’ve helped Cole do interviews and camera work and I’ve wanted to do this for a long time,” she said.

It is Purchase’s intent to have between five and seven shows ready to air by the time the first episode airs by mid-summer. The plan is to film 13 episodes which are to air weekly, but she has not yet been told the days or times of those airings.

Among subjects being considered are sessions with a yoga instructor and a pre-school teacher and hopefully a first responder and firefighter.

“We want to do shows centred around Canada’s 150th anniversary,” she said. “I’m very excited to be doing this and bringing these people to light.”

Persons interested in being a guest on the show or those who know of a district resident who would be a good guest, are asked to contact Purchase at a_purchase@yahoo.ca.
